Ian
Sherry

Co-founder

Ian has 20 years of experience as a property developer. During this time, Ian has been involved as a director and major shareholder in businesses that have delivered over 3.7 million sqft of commercial and residential accommodation with a GDV is excess of £480m.

Ian has significant experience in assembling and successfully delivering investment and development projects from industrial and office, through to retail and residential.

Ian is a board member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF).

Guy
Butler

Co-founder

Guy founded his career with 15 years at Grosvenor based in London. He worked on three main projects – Festival Place Basingstoke, Liverpool ONE and a £1bn development in Mayfair.

His expertise spans the whole investment and development process, from funding, purchase and sale, through to design, planning, financial appraisal and leasing.

Guy read Land Management at Reading University and European Property Investment at City University, regularly presenting on the development process to academia, such as Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes University. Guy is on the scrutiny committee for the Cheshire and Warrington Local Economic Partnership (LEP) and is the immediate past Chairman of the Chester Growth Partnership. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Stuart
McCrone

Projects Director

With 20 years’ experience in property development, Stuart heads up the project management team at Glenbrook and is ultimately responsible for successful project delivery. He focuses on detail, whilst ensuring projects are delivered on programme.

Stuart has gained experience working for large scale organisations including Driver Jonas (now Deloitte), King Sturge (now JLL) and Davis Langdon (now Aecom).

With a focus on delivery, Stuart has delivered schemes across most sectors, particularly residential, commercial and industrial, as well as hotels and leisure, covering both new build and large scale refurbishments.

He is a member of the Association of Project Management and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Jaspreet
Walia

Financial Controller

Jaspreet graduated with a BA Honours in Business Studies before qualifying as an ACMA accountant. She is now completing her MCIPD in HR. She has accrued 10 years’ experience in Property Development and Management, working with some of the North West’s most high-profile prop cos. Including Manchester Airport Group, Allied London and Capital Properties.

At Glenbrook, Jaspreet is responsible for heading up the company’s Finance and HR department.
Jaspreet enjoys spending her spare time with her family and young daughter, although she has been known to enjoy the occasional shopping spree!

Chris
Lloyd

Investment Director

A chartered surveyor, Chris joined Glenbrook in April 2017 to head up the investment team at Glenbrook. Over the last 20 years, Chris has developed an established reputation in the market, having worked at DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield) before moving from agency to investment and development working with MCR Property Group.

There he was responsible for over £50 million of commercial investment sales and acquisitions.

Chris has been appointed to develop the investment management side of the business, including fund raising, sourcing opportunities, asset management and disposals.

A family man, Chris enjoys golfing, rugby and playing the drums. Chris is a member of the Office Agents Society and the Investment Property Forum.

Laura
Wilkinson

Development Surveyor

Laura joined Glenbrook in 2016 following a number of years at Pochin’s, where she worked focusing on marketing and business development. Prior to this, she graduated from Manchester University with a 1st class BA(Hons) degree in International Business. Her role at Glenbrook as Development Surveyor is to assist with both development and investment projects.

She actively manages investment properties within Liverpool and Manchester, and delivers reporting, marketing and financial analysis for the business. Laura has moved to Manchester for the role and has enjoyed engaging in the culture within the city.

Dan
Symonds

Development Manager

Having had well over 10 years’ experience in varied development roles, Dan returns to work with Guy, whom he worked with for many years at Grosvenor.

Following Grosvenor and before coming to Glenbrook, Dan worked with Barnfield, where he was Head of Development, and brings substantial mixed use experience.

With a focus on forging new development opportunities across all sectors whilst having also managed the exit strategies for a number of legacy projects, he will focus on large mixed use schemes as well as the PRS estate.

Dan studied business at Sheffield Hallam University and has engaged in a number of management and leadership courses. Dan is a countryman at heart and enjoys spending time with his dogs.

Mike
Shaw

Development Surveyor

Mike studied MSc Real Estate Development at the University of Manchester alongside working at Henry Boot Developments in Manchester.

His role includes site search and acquisition, design team assembly and management, financial appraisals, preparation of bids and project prospectuses, and assistance with project-based tasks. He is also involved in project management and the construction side of the business.

Mike is undertaking his RICS APC in the Development and Planning route, aiming to become a Member of the Institution in due course.

Mike is a successful sportsman having played hockey at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow; he competes locally at Bowdon and trains most days as part of this.

Bryony
Marsden

PA and Office Manager

Bryony has taken on the role of office manager and PA to the directors.

After working as a junior buyer at Marks & Spencers she decided to take two years out to travel the world. During that time she was office manager at Cundall in Melbourne, Australia and other firms across a sectors where she gained experience in business admin and purchasing.

Despite working in property, Bryony has a creative side and has achieved a diploma four in fashion buying and merchandising. In her spare time, she enjoys dog walking, sewing, making clothes and creating homewares.
